Need to increase your home value? Check this out

It’s one thing to buy a home for the purpose of investing but it’s another thing to maintain the home and make sure it appreciates in value. Everyone looks forward to making high returns on investment , that’s the reason it is important to take deliberate steps to make sure your home attract good buyers.
Here are a few tips to give your home a revamp and increase its value.

Paint It

One of the simplest, most cost-effective improvements of all is to paint. Freshly painted spaces look clean and nice — and that spells value. When selecting paint colors, keep in mind that neutrals such as white or grey appeal to the greatest number of people, therefore making your home more desirable. So buy a few gallons of paint and give that house a new look.

Improve the Air Quality Inside

Air quality isn’t just about the conditions outdoors. If you have older carpets in your home, they might be hiding contaminants and allergens. The first step to determine if these need replacing is to hire a professional company to test your indoor air quality. If the results prove that your carpets should be replaced, choose environmentally friendly natural products like tile or laminate floors. Hard-surface floors are much easier to keep clean, don’t hold odors, give your home an updated look and, in general, are more appealing to buyers.

Keep it Clean

It only takes a few minutes to make an impression and the old adage states that first impression really does count . So, make the interior of you home shine from the moment someone walks through the door. You can hire a professional cleaning service for a deep cleaning. Even if you clean your home regularly, there are nooks and crannies that you may miss or overlook. Let a cleaning service do the dirty work to really make your home sparkle.

When you make a clean house a priority, you stay on top of maintenance issues, spotting potential problems before they become expensive ones, prevent dirt and junk from building up over time ensure healthier living for you and your family!
Also, decluttering is a form of cleaning. Just as dirt builds up, so does clutter. Don’t waste money moving your junk around. Get rid of it now. When it’s time to sell, you will feel confident about what you are presenting to the buyer.
Clear out dirt and clutter to get the right buyer.

Revamp Bathroom and Kitchen

The two major rooms that benefit most from even small renovations are the kitchen and bathroom. One cost-effective change — like replacing an outdated vanity, old plumbing and lighting fixtures or adding a new tile floor — will guarantee maximum return on investment and give your bath an updated, modern look.

Home maintenance is something that should be taken seriously as it leads to increase in value and saves headache of running around fixing every issue all at once. It is important to stay on top of home maintenance in order nip any potential problem in the bud. This way, your home doesn’t stay for too long in the market and you also get to sell at a very attractive rate.Tags: Clean SpaceCleansmartHome MaintenanceInvestmentReal EstateReal Estate Tips

5 Habits to Keep Your Home Clean and organized

Your home is the place where you start and end your day. Whether you are aware of it or not, the physical space in which you live and spend a lot of your time has an important role to play in how you act and feel . Having your home in a messed up state can have a variety of effects on your life. Our mind cannot live completely independent from our environment; therefore, keeping the home tidy, organized, and clean is significant.

Here are some daily habits you need to imbibe to keep your home clean and tidy always:

1. Make Your Bed Daily

Although some people think that making the bed is a waste of time, it really makes a huge difference in how tidy the room looks and only takes a couple of minutes. It’s also a good start off the day ___climbing into a made bed after a long day is really soothing .

2. Keep Basic Cleaning Supplies Close

Try to have all of your bathrooms stocked with basic cleaning supplies such as  microfiber cloths , a toilet scrub brush and a multipurpose cleaner. This makes it so much faster and easier to give the toilet a quick swipe instead of having to track down cleaning supplies. Normalize doing these basic tasks as you see the need – most of them take only a few minutes – and it will really reduce how often you need to deep clean.

3. Clean as You Go.
This one may seem obvious but it’s something that most people often don’t do. Putting things away as you go doesn’t really take up much time but it will definitely make the difference between a tidy house and a messy house at the end of the day.  Little things like taking your clothes off by your closet and either hanging them back up or putting them directly in the laundry, washing the dirty dishes immediately after use  instead of just leaving them in the sink would certainly go a long way in making your home look neater.

4.Get rid of Clutter

Not only does clutter make a house look messy, but it makes it harder to keep clean, too. Try the two-basket, one-bag technique: Take two empty laundry baskets and an empty trash bag into the first room you want to declutter. Fill one basket with dirty laundry and the other with items that don’t belong in that room. Fill the trash bag with trash. Then, take each basket and the bag into the next room. Put away items in the clutter basket that belong in this room, and continue adding laundry to the other basket and trash to the bag.

5. Create a Cleaning Checklist

Feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of chores you need to complete? Write a simple checklist and post it somewhere prominently, like the front of the fridge. You  don’t have to do everything at once .Tackle one or two items a day, and involve other members of the family if possible. Cleaning doesn’t have to be a depressing experience either – put on your favorite music and listen as you go! You’ll feel more satisfied and less overwhelmed as the list slowly depletes. Once it’s complete, consider a cleaning schedule to address one or two chores each day – when cleaning is divided into smaller sessions, it feels much less daunting.

All these are just simple habits to imbibe with a little intentional planning.  There will definitely be times when this is not possible, but do it when you can and you will save yourself a ton of cleaning up in the end.  A straightened home with a made bed and pile-free floor will not only bring happiness and organization to your life, it will also change your life.

4 Super Easy Ways to Beautify The Exterior Of Your Home

Most times we direct all our attention to the interior of the home while paying little attention to the exterior. The exterior of a home is equally as important as what’s inside because it’s the first part of a home everyone sees.

Here are some tips to make your home exterior look magnificent;

Use The Right Roof

The roof is one of those things that, when it looks right, you may not notice at all — but when it’s wrong, it’s really wrong. If you’re facing the prospect of putting a new roof on your home, the practical must come first, naturally. But once you narrow your options down to a few good ones in your price range, it can be worth it to consult a designer or color expert to help pick the material and hue that will work best with the style and color of your home, as well as the landscape.

Plant An Arbor

An arbor at the entrance or over the gate is utterly charming, especially when planted with climbing roses or another fragrant plant. Nestle landscape lighting into the plantings around the arbor for a magical effect at night.

Change The Door

A door of a different style can make a big impact. Consider choosing a new door that incorporates panes of glass, like the one shown here  — the glass lightens up a heavy facade. Pick a door that suits the architectural style of your home but has more detail, a more solid construction or lets in more light than your current door.

Add Some Art to your Outdoor Walls

Outdoor wall art can be anything, from a painting to a vertical garden and a lot of other things. Choose a unique wall art that suit your taste and instantly transform the appearance of your home . A unique wall will give your outdoor space a nice and cozy feel.

Spice up your outdoor decor with these few tips and watch your home take a new and beautiful form.
